The nursing information system is a sub- system of its overarching healthcare information system (HIS). The success of a nursing information system is associated with personal and organizational factors. Given the importance of improving the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare, it is crucial to examine nurses’ perceptions of the new nursing information system. The results of this study can serve to modify the system and improve the system’s use to expedite future integration with the electronic health record (EHR).
