英國Clifford Beers Foundation成立於1996年，該基金會致力於推動心理健康促進，自2000年，每二年於不同國家辦理Promotion of Mental Health and the prevention of Mental and Behavioral Disorder會議。2014年第8屆會議於9月24日至26日，在英國舉行，與Public Health England, The Royal College of Psychiatrists, International Union of Health Promotion and Education, University of South Carolina, Headspace Australia 合辦。 與會人員來自各國，參加會議人員包括公共衛生、精神衛生、教育、NGO 等有200人，各國討論如何推動心理健康促進，分享實務經驗，將心理健康促進議題帶入幼稚園、學校、社區，溶入各項政策。建立正向心理，減少精神疾病發生，建立跨部門及跨國合作，值得我們學習。 參加本次會議，對規劃心理健康政策有很大的幫助，參與學者強調國家需重視心理健康促進，心理健康需溶入各項政策，正面心理可促進身心健康，心理健康促進需各部會、公私立部門、跨領域、跨專業共同努力，共同重視才會成功。 此外會議中與各國學者互動，建立良好關係。
