報告內容摘要
一、 2000年亞太經濟合作會議(APEC)青年國際會議：培育青年邁向千禧年APEC新社會」(2000 APEC Youth Networking: Youth Preparation for the APEC Society in the Next Millennium)於2000年七月十六日於泰國舉行。
二、 教育部國際文教處李振清處長以APEC教育分組（EDNET）國際協調人身擔任教育發展分組(EDNET)國際協論人。這兩場被與會青年評選畏最受歡迎的演說，分別為：
1.Empowering Our Youth to Brave the Era of Trade and Investment Liberalization: Directions and Capabilities Needed for Future Youths.
2.Cooperation and Competition: Where is the Balance in the Era of Trade and Investment Liberalization
三、 會後李處長與教育部駐曼谷的文號組組長曹異美到泰國最古老的珠拉隆功大學訪問，受到該校師生熱烈歡迎。同時，我國駐泰國代表黃顯榮大使亦利用此機會，邀請了二十所泰國駐名的大學校長､副校長們來參加與我相聚及座談之酒會。
